AREAS stands for ‘Association of Realestate Advisors, Siliguri’. In the world of real-estate fraternity, AREAS is the representative body of North Bengal at ‘National Association of Realtors’ (NAR). Basically, AREAS is a unified platform of Realtors, persons & groups indulged with realestate affairs, based at Siliguri City. Its members are experts in the field giving wide range of Real Estate Services to Builders, Corporate and common members organisation. At present, the strength of association AREAS is of 51 members. Their representation is of providing their clients & customers with searches for Realestate Amenities such as rent/buy/sale/lease/consultancy of plots,houses,apartments, warehouses,godowns, residential/commercial spaces, etc. Members from the Arctitecture, Interior Designing, Modulars & Craftsmanship also are associated with AREAS.

SILIGURI City
The North-East Corridor
Siliguri is the second largest urban agglomeration in West Bengal according to area after Kolkata and the third largest according to population in the state following Kolkata & Asansol. Due to its tremendous growth, Siliguri is now far away from its past outlook as Siliguri is the largest and fastest growing City in Eastern India after Guwahati.
Siliguri has been advancely growing as the largest metropolis of North Bengal. Due to the geographical advantage of Siliguri & its connectivity with four International borders i.e. China, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan, this place has great strategic importance in West Bengal. This place is also known as the Chicken’s Neck as it connects the North-Eastern States with Indian mainland. Located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Siliguri is blessed by its natural beauty. Over time, the Siliguri Corridor has become a commercially progressive city and an indicative trading and transportation hub.

About NAR
Founded in 2008, The National Realtors Association – India (NAR-INDIA) is the apex organization of realtors in India which aims to enlighten Indian realtors and train them to imbibe and adhere to international best practices which in turn inspires confidence in investors and consumers. The core focus of NAR-India is to elevate the standards of practice of the real estate brokerage business to a global level by promoting ethics, transparency, accountability and respect for rule of law and good governance. The association aims at streamlining and promoting the profession of real estate brokerage in India.
NAR-INDIA has signed bilateral agreements with CREDAI National, NAREDCO, NICMAR and RICS and continues to maintain its relationship with the National Housing Bank (NHB) - the country’s housing finance regulator under the Reserve Bank of India, Government of India. NAR-INDIA is shortly introducing real esate courses and certifications for members to upgarde their skills through learning and developement. All these courses will be developed by Indian Institute of Real Estate (IIRE) which is NAR-INDIA’s own educational wing.
What started as a concerted effort by a small group of dedicated professionals with the support of NAR USA has today become the Voice of Realtors in India. NAR-INDIA is the umbrella organization to over 44 member associations and 20,000+ realtors in the country. NAR-INDIA strongly believes in the strength of relationships and continues to maintain numerous international affiliations such as NAR, AMPI,AREAA, IEA and AEGI to help its’ members network globally. In it’s nascent years, NAR-INDIA was nurtured and mentored by NAR USA.
NAR-INDIA has been fashioned as a Single national level umbrella organisation representing the interests of thousands of realtors / brokers operating all over the country.NAR India is a part of The National Association of REALTORS, “The Voice of Real Estate,” which is America’s largest trade association, representing over 1.2 million members, involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
NAR-INDIA has always been at the forefront to protect vital business interests of Real Estate professionals and member companies. NAR-INDIA works with Industry representatives and represents its members to achieve positive outcomes on public policy initiatives before legislative and regulatory agencies.
NAR-INDIA is the only organisation in the Central Advisory Council for RERA representing the Real Estate Professionals in the country, making it truly the Credible Voice of Realtors.

OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of AREAS is to promote ethical and standard business practices in real estate consultancy. Our focus is to bring all the real estate consultants of North Bengal on a common platform. AREAS aims to streamline and promote the profession of real estate at North Bengal & its neighbouring cities.
The Core objectives of the association are:
To work for national interest & establish cordial, healthy relations, and to foster brotherhood and esprit-de-corps amongst the members.
To provide a forum for making the public aware of the role and functions of Real Estate Consultants.
To promote a good image of the profession of estate agent in the mind of the public by ensuring just and proper dealings.
To provide facilities for imparting knowledge to the members relating to building industries.
To collect and disseminate statistical/ technical and other information relating to building industry and kindred interests, and to diffuse among its members information in all matters affecting building industry , and all allied/kindred trades and to print, publish, issue and circulate such information and other objects or calculated to advance these interests.
To arrange talks by experts to assist members on technical and taxation and legal matters.
To promote awareness as to Rights and Duties of the Real Estate Consultants.
To bring together the realty experts the key industry stalwarts from across the city into this network.
To provide a theme which inspires all Realtors to broaden their horizons and work towards achieving their goals.
Motivate the use of understanding, technology & networking both in the city and intercity and continuous skill development and up-gradation of knowledge.
To invest funds of the Association in such manner as the Association may in the best interests deem fit and proper.
Realestate Education
Real Estate education to all its members is one of the key objectives of NAR-INDIA. NAR-India education programs ensure the members possess required skills and knowledge to provide competent service to clients.
Getting an education shouldn’t be a one-time event; it must be an on-going process that builds on strengths while opening doors for the future. Through our partnership with NAR, NAR-INDIA is proud to offer a range of relevant courses for members that show tangible results when applied on field.
NAR-INDIA members get the unique opportunity to apply for the Real Estate Membership Entry Test (REMET), which is a standardized test for realtors that recognizes their potential and acknowledges them as being the very best in the trade. It gives agents and brokers standing in the community that is otherwise tough to find in an industry where apprehensions run high.
Besides the REMET, there are several online courses and designations that can be earned through NAR and through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Among them are the prestigious title of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), who work with clients through every stage of the home buying process. Members can also avail certifications for Certified International Property Specialists (CIPS) as well as Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager / CRB among several other courses to build competency and knowledge in their specific areas of interest.
NAR-INDIA has recently acquired IIRE to develop specialised content for the local market demands. NAR-INDIA along with IIRE is committed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the real estate professional both at micro and macro level. NAR-INDIA believes education and exposure to better practices is the way forward to organise the Real Estate sector that is at the moment considered to be unorganised.
